Bullington Gardens

Bullington Gardens, once the nursery of Bob Bullington, is a public botanical garden on 12 acres of rolling land providing hands-on education in horticulture and other sciences to students, youth clubs and adults. These gardens incorporate some of the many unusual mature trees that Mr. Bullington collected and introduced to the area.

Gorge Zip Line

Billed as the steepest, fastest zip line canopy tour in the US, The Gorge launches visitors on a heart-racing descent into the gorge of the world famous Green River. The 11 sections culminate in a section co-owner Tim Bell calls "The Star Wars Zip," due to its similarity to the scene of racing through giant trees featured in The Return of the Jedi. Pretty Place

Fred W. Symmes Chapel (also known as "Pretty Place" because of its amazing view) is one of the many buildings that make up YMCA Camp Greenville. It was given by Mr. Fred W. Symmes for the enjoyment of the boys and girls who camp here each summer and is the spiritual center of the camp. Camp Greenville welcomes visitors - at no charge - to enjoy the beauty of the Chapel during daylight, except when it is in use for a Camp event.

DuPont Forest, 16 miles away, is home to some of North Carolina's most gorgeous waterfalls. Visit the forest and plan for plenty of hikes. Dupont Falls is a popular attraction for visitors because of it's series of billowing white falls across the rugged landscape.

Historic Hendersonville Train Depot

The Apple Valley Model Railroad Club is one of the Top Tourist destinations in Western North Carolina. Our HO layout is located inside the Historic 1902 Hendersonville, N.C. Railroad Depot.

The Mineral and Lapidary Museum of Henderson County was founded with the goal of providing a place where people could discover and learn about the beauty and diversity of the world beneath our feet. Current exhibits range from specimens of raw minerals in their natural state to polished gemstones and other finished material. The museum also hosts special exhibits of collections on loan.
